Description: A map of the station area of Benfleet showing the High Street. The OS map is thought to date from around 1922. It clearly shows a property on the corner by the Half Crown (not shown as a pub) and a row of properties on the hill by St Mary's church leading upto the Anchor pub. The war memorial is not shown as this was build April 1922. Part of the Anchor pub is shown as the Post Office.
