User comments on this picture- The re-built Crockford Bridge
- Crockford Bridge was re-built in 1926 and moved slightly to the west to take the very sharp bend out of it. The same bridge is still standing to this day. "Crockford" by the way, comes from "Crooked Ford". This refers to the crooked ford in the River Bourne under the bridge.
